Association Membership:

The Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc (INFINZ)was established in 2002 from a merging of the NZ Society of Corporate Treasurers and the NZ Society of Investment Analysts to form a truly pan industry body representing all aspects of the finance and capital markets of New Zealand. As a result the membership is very broad and the interests of the society are equally broad. INFINZ is effectively a peak industry body representing both the buy side and sell side of the finance and capital markets.

INFINZ’ membership is based around professionals working in the finance and capital markets as well as a number of service industry representatives who actively participate in the industry. The broad reach of the society also sees a good representation from government employees and ancillary interested parties such as academics and students.

The members are typically corporate treasurers, CFOs, corporate bankers, fund managers, brokers, investment analysts, investment bankers, consultants, lawyers, accountants, service industry representatives, government employees, academics and students.

Membership Criteria:

There are three broad categories of membership; certified members, non-certified members and student members.

Certified members are those professionals who work directly in the finance and capital markets and who wish to be recognized as markets professionals. To be considered for certified membership the applicant must be working in particular fields at the time of application, have relevant work experience and applicable educational achievement.

Certified members can also be considered for Fellowship.

Non-certified members are those people who would qualify for certified membership but choose not to be recognized as a markets professional as well as people who participate in the industry but do not actively participate in the markets.

Other Activities: The society runs a major one day conference

Other Activities:
