Update on Draft code of practices for participantsSummary on ratings for IGTA April 2005 | hereEACT elect new President from AFTEAt its general meeting in Monaco in May, the Euro-Associations of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) elected a new President. He is Pierre Poncet, 63, previously the Chief Executive of the French Association of Corporate Treasurers (AFTE), who has for many years been the Treasurer of Ciba, of which he was Director of Treasury and Credit Management before its merger with Sandoz in 1996.He joined AFTE in 1980 and has held many positions on its Administrative Council, notably being responsible for 11 years for the Lettre du Trésorier. He has a diploma from ENSAE (Ecole nationale de la statistique et de l’administration économique) and from the Carnegie Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh. Richard Cordero, 51, formerly the Deputy Chief Executive of the French Association of Corporate Treasurers (AFTE), is succeeding Pierre Poncet as the Association’s Chief Executive. He was previously Treasurer of the Usinor Group (later Arcelor), for 18 years, responsible for AFTE’s euro project, and financial journalist in L’Agefi group.
